Surge® Platinum Mastercard® credit card: how does it work?
Continental Finance services are responsible for the Surge® Platinum Mastercard® credit card. It is one of the country’s best-rated agencies for credit rebuilding.
Surge® Platinum Mastercard® is for people with limited or poor credit. Because of that, one of the major advantages of this card is that it can help you improve your credit score.
It also reports your payments to the three credit bureaus in the country.
So, if you make payments on time, you may boost your score and even be eligible for a higher credit limit.
On the one hand, it is considered a very high credit limit for a ruined score’s unsecured card.
On the other hand, you’ll have to pay one of the highest APRs in the market: a 35.90% fixed for purchases.
Another negative point is the annual fee of $75 to $125. It is relatively expensive, and the terms don’t clarify how this fee is applied from consumer to consumer.
In addition, you’ll still have to consider up to $150 in monthly fees (billed $12.50 per month) after the first year if you’re credit limit is in the $300 or $500 range. There are no rewards or bonuses, either.
Surge® Platinum Mastercard® credit card: should you get one?
Surge® Platinum Mastercard® works as an intermediary on your way to raising your poor score. However, there are less expensive options to do it.
But if you like the idea of its attractive credit limit and want to know more before deciding whether to apply for one, have the pros and cons in mind.
