Once you’ve reviewed the terms and conditions of your prospective Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card, it’s time to gather all of your necessary documents.
This includes proof of income, such as pay stubs or tax returns, and identification as a driver’s license or passport. Make sure all documents are up-to-date and valid before submitting their information.
Step 3: Complete the Application Form
Now that you have all your documents ready, it’s time to fill out an application form for the Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card. The form will ask for basic information such as name, address, email address, and phone number.
It may also ask about your employment status and financial history, so be prepared to answer these questions accurately and honestly. Once completed, submit your application form online on their website.

Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card vs. Aspire® Cash Back Reward Card
The Aspire® Cash Back Reward Card kills two birds with a stone: it provides 1% cash back for people with bad credit trying to use their card to improve their scores.
Conversely, the Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card is only available for people with golf to excellent scores and offers 2% cash back on all purchases.
However, this card is not good for building or rebuilding credit.
Wells Fargo Active Cash® Card
- Credit Score: Good-Excellent;
- Annual Fee: $0 annual fee;
- Regular APR: 0% intro APR on purchases for the first 15 months, then a variable APR of 18.74%, 23.74%, or 28.74%;
- Welcome bonus: Earn a $200 cash back rewards bonus after spending $1,000 in purchases during the first three months of the account;
- Rewards: Unlimited 2% cash back on purchases.
Aspire® Cash Back Reward Card
- Credit Score: Bad credit;
- Annual Fee: $85-$175 for the first year. After that, $29-$49;
- Regular APR: 29.99% or 36% Variable;
- Welcome bonus: No welcome bonus;
- Rewards: Earn a 3% cash back on eligible gas, grocery, utility purchase, and payments; also a 1% cash back on all other eligible purchases of goods, services, and payments.
