Applying for the HSBC Premier checking account can take five to ten minutes. Before jumping into instructions, have a look at the requirements:
- You must be a citizen or a legal resident of the United States that has lived in the U.S. for more than one year;
- You need to be at least 18 years old;
- You must have a social security number;
- you need to have a valid U.S. mobile number.
Do you fit the requirements? Then it’s time to apply. First, you’ll need to create an account on the HSBC website. Once it’s done, complete the online application.
They’ll ask for personal information such as your name, address, date of birth, and Social Security number, as mentioned above.
You’ll also need to provide documents such as a copy of your driver’s license or passport, proof of residence, and your most recent bank statement.
If everything goes according to the plan, the bank will send you a response in up to 7 seven days.
