Credit scores required for the Chase Bank products
You are not required to have an impeccable credit history if all you want is to do is to open a Chase Bank checking account. However, Chase mostly offers credit cards to people with good to excellent scores.
This does not mean applicants with a FICO score of 650 or below don’t get approved. It does happen, and you can try it. Still, we believe through improving your credit score you increase your chances of not only getting service by Chase on your first attempt, but also a premium services offer sooner.
Chase Bank application: how to do it?
Opening an account with Chase Bank is really simple. You can do it online – like most people would at this point. Or you can go old-school style and do it in one of Chase’s 4,700 branches nationwide. If you already have an account but want another one, you can do it over the app.
Chase also offers active and veteran members of the military a Chase Premiere Plus Checking account with $0 fees and no minimum balance requirements.
If you are a saver, the institution offers CD accounts which you can open online or in branches as well. A minimum $1,000 is required to open this kind of account. But if you are coming in with a balance of $1 million or more, you should probably talk to a banker before opening your CD account.
