What is the Calm App?
The Calm app is made to help anxious people to calm down.
The features are inspired by Calm research, a group of specialists proposing and testing ways to cope with anxiety.
The Calm app is an experience. To start, it has a very attractive interface.
The loading page in blue with the saying ” take a deep breath” impacts at first, making the anxious user relax from the beginning.
Plus, the other screens are clean and simple and often show some landscapes, which is refreshing.
The app has different subscription options. New users can start a 7-day free trial, but after that will need to subscribe.
Also, the app is broad and thought for people with different profiles. The content is available in many languages: Portuguese, English, German, French, and Korean.
When you open the app, you’re greeted with calming images and sounds to choose from.
If you want to jump straight to meditation, select how long you would like your session to be (anywhere from 3 to 30 minutes), and away you go.
The calm app guides you through your meditation session with detailed instructions on breathing deeply and slowly to calm down.
The app also has a series of other exercises that you can follow along with if you need some help getting started. You can find the following:
- Masterclasses;
- Guided meditation;
- Sleep stories;
- Relaxing Music;
- Mediation for kids and teenagers.
The annual subscription is $69.99, and the lifetime subscription is $399.99. Other plans have different costs, such as family and student plans.
