Apply online
To apply for the Navy Federal Platinum Credit Card, you must be a member of the military. Here are the steps to follow:
You will be redirected to another website
Step 1: Personal Information
Start by providing your personal information and housing details, such as address, name, and contact.
Step 2: Check your Credit Score
Then Navy Federal will contact one of the three main credit bureaus to determine your credit score eligibility, which should be good credit or higher.
Note that this process will result in a hard inquiry that may impact your credit. However, it will be set out by the bureau.
However, you can pre-qualify on the Navy Federal website with a soft pull. So, if you aren’t eligible, it won’t hurt your score.
Step 3: Text Approval
If approved and we have your phone number on file, Navy Federal will notify you via text.
Conversely, if it’s not approved, you will receive a letter within 30 days explaining the reason.
Step 4: Get your card in the mail
The final phase is receiving your credit card in the mail in about 7 to 10 business days.
Apply using the app
While the Navy app does not offer an application option, you can use it to manage your account once you receive your credit card in the mail.
The app is available for Android and iPhones.
