Eligibility
To be eligible to apply for the CSFP, you must:
- Be 60 years old or more;
- Meet state residency requirements: Reside in one of the participating states or Indian reservations;
- Have a gross monthly income of less than the poverty line for a single-person household.
Eligibility may also vary based on the location or nutritional risk, so it’s essential to check the requirements for your state.
Women, infants, and children currently receiving CSFP benefits are also eligible to continue to receive assistance under the program rules in effect on Feb. 6, 2014.

Other documents may include social security cards, Driver’s licenses or ID, and annual Income tax returns, among others.
